Our vinyl record collection was in a mess. Just short of 1000 albums 'randomly' placed in the obligatory Ikea Kalax shelves.

A sub-section of the collection was in constant use for demonstrations - but finding a record quickly from the main collection was impossible.

So we decided to make use of Discogs. Cataloguing your library is easy, by entering one or two basic details from the vinyl (artist, title, catalogue number, barcode etc) into the search, you can probably add 40 to 50 albums an hour.

We've always enjoyed people choosing music from our collection during a demonstration.

The collection has some gems and some howlers... Let us know the ones you like the most and what you think is missing from our collection (a lot).

We also created a PDF version of the catalogue using the Discogs API and a program written in C# - but that is another story...
