Throughout Linn's 50 plus years of manufacturing they have produced many power supplies.

This page is a work in progress and will be updated with information and images as we find time to photograph and document each power supply we encounter.

Power Supply Families

Linn's latest range of power supplies aer collectively know as Utopik. Previouly the family was called Dynamik. This is a family or architecture name rather than a specific circuit board. For example the Dynamik power supply fitted to a Klimax Solo amplifier is physically very different to the Dynamik power supply fitted to a Akurate DSM. The Utopik power supply in a pair of Linn 360s is very different to the Utopik power supply in a Klimax DSM.

Power Supply Evolution

Power supply development generally focuses on these areas: 

• Power Supply stability and accuracy
• Electrical noise reduction into the rest of the audio component
• Electrical noise reduction back out of the audio component
• Efficiency (standby and active)
• Responsivenes to dynamic loads

Utopik Power Supplies

Linn Utopik power supplies are fitted as standard to all equipment launched after 2021.
