How to Re-index a Melco Music Library
How to Re-index a Melco Music Library running MinimServer.
If you copy, change or delete content on the Melco Music library from an external source (USB drive, computer, NAS) or rip a CD using the Melco D100 drive you will need to reindex the library for the changes to be available for playback.
The Melco has 4 buttons on the front panel as shown below:
Press the "Enter" button to display the main menu options (Status, Browse Songs, Backup, Settings...):
Use the "Down" button until "4 Settings" is highlighted
Press the "Enter" button
The "Settings" menu will be displayed (Display, Music Database, SMB File Sharing....)
Use the "Down" button until "2 Music Database" is highlighted
Press the "Enter" button
The "Music Database" menu will be displayed (Media Server App, Rescan Songs and Playlists, Tree Indexes...)
Use the "Down" button until "2 Rescan Songs and Playlists" is highlighted
Press the "Enter" button
The indexes will be rebuilt - this may take sometime depending on the side of the music collection.
When completed press the "Back" button multiple times until the main screen is shown.
You should now be able to see/play your latest music addittions/changes from the Melco music library.
